Senior Financial Education

The goal of the CMS Senior workshops is to help older adults stay financially healthy and live independently and safely in their homes.  Through our financial education program, the CT Money School provides the tools and support that enable seniors to make an informed decision about their financial future.  CMS volunteers understand the particular needs of seniors and tailor sessions with information relevant to an older adult.

CMS group workshops are developed specifically for seniors and offered at area senior centers, community organizations and other convenient locations.  Senior services are provided by trained volunteers and cover topics including money management, budgeting, credit, loans, ID theft, reverse mortgages, navigating social security, and planning for retirement.
